Unapologetically black

It’s sad that white liberals and blacks are so insecure about it that they need to have everyone say how awesome they are constantly. Methinks they doth protest too much

As pathetic as this sounds, they already control blacks. They’re tossing them a few bones because they know they’re firmly under their control.

White people, specifically white conservatives/libertarians, are still fighting against actual systemic oppression at the hands of our government.

We must be destroyed.

Just MY opinion ....

I’m not ashamed of being white, but I don’t derive any kind of cultural unity with other white people, based on my ethnicity.
Conversely, I’d bet a majority of black Americans view their racial identity as a core part of their overall identity.
The reasons why that is is a thread in itself.

I think white people have pride in such things as their heritage (e.g., Scottish, German, Irish), their religion, and/or maybe the regions where they live (e.g., Southern pride, Texas pride).
But by and large, my people share pieces of my life that have nothing to do with my whiteness.

By contrast, I believe many black people feel unified in ways that those “other” categories(?) I mentioned above work within my life.
Black people make up a substantially smaller percentage of the population, so there’s that variable that tends to infuse solidarity as well.
Also, many blacks share a cultural heritage that is similar to what unites other “mostly white” ethic or religious groups.

Ultimately I think there exists a joy in being black that most whites don’t derive from being white.
That’s not at all to say white people are ashamed of who they are; rather, our ethnicity just isn’t something we celebrate; it just is.
So manufacturing some sort of “white pride,” just to counter the pride that many blacks feel, seems forced and phony.

I think the whole deal is just different? It’s not something that can be compared—black pride vs white pride.

Again, my opinions only.

I've been seeing a lot of ads on FB lately without any white people...and black people wearing cowboy boots, high end camouflage, sporting fly fishing gear, and marketing shite that only white rednecks give a frick about.

They do it in response to what they think white people think. IMO that’s the root cause of every race issue we have.

A vast majority of blacks self segregate. They only want to live in all black neighborhoods, want to attend all black churches, and only want to hang out among themselves. Therefore, they really have no idea what most Americans think. They also seem to teach each new generation to live the same way.

Compare that to new immigrants coming here. While the original generation usually stays around what’s comfortable, almost universally the 2nd generation turns out 100% American.

My favorite is seeing a 300lb black woman wearing “My Black is Beautiful “. Yeah. Keep telling yourself whatever you need to honey.

Say you are unapologetically white...I do.

You didn’t choose your skin tone.

If someone has an issue with it, that makes them the one using skin color as a means of division (that would make them the racist imho).
