I don’t know about pummeling, but they sure are working slowly, because they have an incompetent military. Taking months to take a region of a country, that a country like Russia, going against a country like Ukraine, should be able to accomplish in a matter of weeks.

Of the hundreds of videos I’ve watched, I have yet to see older people in Russian uniform outside of generals

I’m kind of surprised that they’re doing this for Ukraine though. Doesn’t seem like it’s really worth it unless there’s some serious natural resources there that Russia needs.

Back in the 1800’s, Royal Navy and British merchant ships employed something called “Press Gangs”. If the Navy or merchant companies couldn’t get enough volunteers to sign up, they sent out armed squads of men to ale houses and poorhouses and literally kidnapped men at the point of a blade to work on the ships.
The Ukraine is quite literally doing their own version of Press Gangs right now, sending out squads to scoop up men off of the streets and sending them to the front. But now they’re down to grandfathers and sub-16 teenagers. Pretty soon the Ukrainian Army is going to look like Germany’s Volkstorm, the “Peoples Army” composed of pensioners and grade school children being issued panzerfausts for a last ditch war against Soviet tanks in Berlin.

Russia’s military wasn’t performing well enough, and they have to do all this now. Not what I’d expect from a country, who should be able to wipe out Ukraine with ease. I mean, it’s not like they tried invading Germany or something, it’s only Ukraine.

Considering that they didn't shoot down our top end stealth drone, they freaking hacked the signal and landed it on their runway, I'd say they're a bit smarter than you're giving them credit to be.

Lol they shot down a Ukrainian airliner, while trying to retaliate at us, for killing Soleimani. I think I’m giving them enough credit.
But why isn’t China helping Russia more than they are? They’re supposed to be close allies with each other, plus the Chinese are far more smarter than the Iranians, and have far superior military technology than Iran, Russia, North Korea, or Pakistan.
