Go look at Turkey's military - they have twice as many active troops as Israel. They have about 6x the number of tanks.
A lot of Turkey's equipment comes from Turkey or other places not named the US. They have a lot of UAVs instead of piloted aircraft.
Turkey is a very serious threat to Israel, and Turkey would not be the only nation that enters this, if things heat up.
In a conventional fight, Israel would be leveled if this escalated, unless the US joined that fight, and the US would have to put troops on the ground. A carrier isn't going to cut it.

They use false claims to bolster support and then don't take ownership of those claims and expect us to continue to believe them. See babies cooked in ovens etc

In today's political climate, there is no way we support Israel with boots on the ground. It would be remote attacks on countries countering Israel.

It could be two things, they’ve said there were a lot friendly fire incidents on October 7th, to the point where they won’t investigate them, it was pretty bad, so this would be a distraction from that, it could also be a fairly cold blooded way for them justify the annihilation of Gaza.
If you’re inventing atrocities, by definition that means you don’t have real ones to work with.
To be fair, and I should be more generous, it could also be glory hounding behavior, attention seeking, from shitty people, combined with the normal rumor mill. But that doesn’t excuse the decision to amplify these claims without evidence. Someone’s choosing to do that.
