My buddy's sighting was in Rockwall TX..a rural suburb of Dallas. This was in the fall of 2024. It was around the time of Comet Tsuchinshan–ATLAS. He had gone out to see if he could get a good viewing of it and those objects began appearing out of no where. Flights of 2-4 four of them appearing every few minutes from the east going west for about 15 minutes. I need to upload the footage to Youtube sometime so I can share. It was absolutely one of the wierdest things Ive seen. They looked exactly like that NY Post article but more numerous and his house is clear of trees...wide open sky. Ive seen similar footage of them around the world. That close up pic doesnt show motion. He said it looked like swirling balls of fluid plasma

Reported all over the skies of Europe during WW2 by both axis and allied forces. You figure those were all Chinese lanterns too? Even reports of them taking down aircraft.

Maybe. Maybe not. I'm not 100% sold one way. And I'm not saying for sure that is what they were. But they do look a lot alike at a distance.

The orb phenomenon is a legit phenomenon though. Whatever is behind it is unknown. It can't even be argued really. Thousands of the things were witnessed over the skies of Europe during the war. By both sides.

Yes they can look similar. Did you see the zoomed in pic I posted? That doesnt look like flying lanterns. When I first saw my friend's video I asked him about that...he said absolutely not. He been all over world. Just got back from Bangkok a few months ago . He is very familiar with those lantern displays. Here is another less zoomed in pic
[/img] You see the aura around it....he said that looked like lava just swirling around it. Folks can believe what they want.. i have no idea wtf it is or is not but that doesnt look like sky lanterns to me.

Well, the other thing too is that Chinese lanterns gain in altitude quite quickly. The orbs in the video are flying parallel to the ground. Folks likening them to Chinese lanterns are only saying this because they look similar. Because they damn sure don't behave similar. Anyone who has ever launched a Chinese lantern can tell you that within just a couple of minutes they climb to heights where they are almost out of sight. That video was 45 seconds long and those orbs stayed below the level of the trees relative to the observer. They aren't lanterns. Although they do appear similar.
