Why would I ask if I knew?
THINK!
I addressed the fact that I DID post here before Aug. '21. But that particular thread I wasn't hip to. Or maybe I did post, and just forgot. It's irrelevant. POINT IS, regarding stuff like UFO's, the unexplained, ancient civilizations or history in general, I have had a lifelong fascination with these topics.
I used to believe in stuff like Loch Ness Monster, for example, but as I grew older and studied (informally) the unlikelihood that a large animal could exist in an effectively barren ecosystem like Loch Ness, it became apparent that other explanations were far more likely than some paleo sea lizard from the Mesozoic.
Same applies for this topic.

GOP Reps See New Opportunity For UFO Select Committee Request With Speaker Mike Johnson
By Daniel Chaitin and Frank Camp • Oct 26, 2023 DailyWire.com •
quote:
Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) told The Daily Wire on Thursday that he’s already spoken with Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) to gauge support for his endeavor to get Congress more access to secret UAP information. “He seems very receptive,” Burchett said in an interview. When asked if he thinks Johnson might be open to a select committee, he replied, “I do — because he’s not beholden to the defense contractors.” When pressed on whether he would ask for a select committee, Burchett noted that he has already done so informally, but would need to make the request officially.

Before The Daily Wire spoke to them on Thursday, Burchett and Burlison, as well as other members of the House Oversight Committee, attended a classified briefing on Capitol Hill with representatives of the Department of Defense Office of Inspector General (DOD OIG) — one of two government watchdogs Grusch had approached with classified information and claims of retaliation related to his disclosures.

OCT 26 • 4M "it appears...somebody has discovered something—some advanced form of propulsion" Ep. 70 — Reps. Eric Burlison and Tim Burchett (10-26-2023)
quote:
After a classified UAP briefing in a SCIF in the basement of the Capitol this morning most lawmakers were closed-lipped, but Rep. Eric Burlison (R-MO) piqued our interest when he said he’s convinced either the US government, a military contractor or a foreign nation has “some advanced form of propulsion or technology.”
“What it appears to be is somebody has discovered something—some advanced form of propulsion or technology—that may actually change all of our lives,” Burlison said. “But clearly it’s in an experimental phase or we’re experimenting with it.”

I saw one hovering and drifting north over his house back in June.
Literally.

If you believe in the existence of the soul and since your soul is able to be born in a body once then why couldn't your soul be born in a body two or more times?
You don't understand what soul is. God breathed the spirit of life into a body and man became a living soul.
The interface of spirit with a body produces soul. All living life are call living souls. Remember the OT passage? : the soul is in the blood? If you drain enough blood from a living creature they die. So, some ancient people believed that the life (soul) is in the blood.

What a useless statement. Not one damn thing is going to change in anyone's lives via this imagined non-human 'advanced tech'.
Anyone remember the over-the-top claims on how the Segway was going to change our lives forever?
20 yrs later we got a freaking fleet of scooters cluttering up the sidewalks of urban centers. Wow.

We don't need AI generated videos. There are plenty of real videos of real UFOs to look at.

If that is the case then what happens to the soul after the body dies?
If the soul is connected to the body then why do transgenders say they were born into the wrong body?

He does not know. Nobody does. We have not even sorted out completely how the meat b/t our ears works or figured out the hard problem of consciousness.

The soul goes to Sheol/hades....literally translated 'the unseen.' In other words, 'they don't know.' But, that's the whole point of the resurrection. You don't need a resurrection if 'you are conscious' after death. Christ came to give 'everlasting life.' That's when man gets a 'spiritual' body. There is no consciousness until the resurrection.

Every human being has a soul even before they are born into a human body.

What I think as well.
Never understood the church s absolutism on reincarnation or re-being. It means they know what heaven or the afterlife is all about. If any religion is about being reborn...

So what's this connection b/t reincarnation/consciousness and John Keel's beliefs? I think I've heard Whitley Strieber and others talk about the human soul being key to all of this supposed human experimentation by the "others" but I've never really dived into it.
