And here's the TigerDroppings thread on the announcement when it happened in real time on that day.

LINK

The first page is absolutely hilarious.

Here's the DNC statement when Trump announced.

Oh and Fairhope's post on page 3 was absolutely dead on.

quote:

Trump is going to clown this thing up and the bad thing is he could be sitting at 1% in the polls but he will suck up a lot of oxygen....which could be good if he does it to Santorum, Huckabee, and etc. It will be bad if he takes up airtime from someone who is gaining traction like Rubio or Rand.

The media is going to give Trump a lot of airtime.

I admit that I was wrong. He did have a shot.

I just can't imagine how you're feeling seeing that post of yours as the first response being so hilariously wrong two years later.

Luckily mine was hidden deep later in the tread.

Oh and NavyTiger74 has probably the unintentionally funniest posts the first few pages.

So many people were wrong including me.

It is ironic that he supposedly had to pay people to attend his announcement, then a few months later you probably couldn't pay people a lot of to not attend his sold out events.

Like his predecessor, he was a historically great campaigner. Unfortunately that didn't make his predecessor a great leader, and hopefully he's just slow to realize that himself, but he could use an improvement in that regard too.

You were wrong as it relates to Trump, but you were right that "it must be nice to have that opportunity."

One of my favorite posts from Big Scrub just looks hilarious now....

quote:

quote:

He is a joke but we all have to admit anybody is better than Obama

While Trump was at the 2011 white house press corps dinner railing on about the birth certificate, Obama was sitting there with a poker face on the knowledge of bin laden having been taken down. I'll let you decide which half of that transaction was more boss.

Oh and Fairhope nailed it again.......

quote:

Trump really hates Jeb. I wonder if people in Jeb's camp are secretly worried. I could see Trump really going after Jeb hard.

That was understatement of the year.

Maybe he is just confused about the counterintuitive nature of left expectancy since Trump just turned 71. Life expectancy increases with age. Maybe he's referring to something else.

Today, Donald Trump freaked out about being investigated and went on a Twitter rant.

He'll be done soon. Please, please fire Rosenstein and Mueller.

So?

They still have to prove every single element of the crime the left accuses him of and there's little to nothing there.

There's no collusion and the obstruction "case" is nothing more than he or he said and hoping is not obstruction.

I honestly believe that the more time that passes and Trump is still in office, the harder that the left is going to melt.

Nah dude, the same playbook that the Clintons used with Starr and getting a roaring economy going is what's going to kill any possibility of impeachment happening.

If you truly want Trump gone, you better hope that the economy is in the shitter as that will just make it easier to get rid of him. The economy was terrible at the Nixon resigned. When Iran Contra and Whitewater happened, the economy was going strong at the time and that's one of several reasons that saved Reagan and Clinton.

Why do you still have Hillary as your avi? Even after she shite all over the democrat party in recent weeks and refuses to take responsibility for the loss?
