The shooter because, well he did it.

The school because they failed to provide adequate protection for the thousands in their school.

How about government for not providing the school with the funding to pay for armed guards?

What about the public who doesn't demand that enough to get the funding passed?

The guardians, for allowing a mentally ill frick head to own guns. They knew he was a frick up, they knew he had guns.

I’d bet choices, that don’t impact instruction, could be made that would yield funding for this..

A school can't do squat on their own these days. Its school boards and the State education officials if you want to blame somebody else.
Crazy people and guns are not going away. But schools can be better protected.

By school I mean the county school board or whichever level of admin is in charge of security at that facility. 1 guy to protect a school that size is absurd.

Anyone heard how he entered the school?

Another former student was at the school that day and interviewed on Fox, during Shepard Smith's coverage.

How are these former students entering the school? They can blend in and are familiar faces. Are there open doors or high traffic times with students entering/exiting?

19 year olds no longer have "guardians" and both his adoptive parents had died.

Do we know what age he was adopted? How long he had been "in the system"?

Please,We're spending BILLIONS on public education (Fedetal,State and Local) and most of these systems are unbelievably inefficient at educating and protecting their students.

And these clowns STILL can't account for where or what happened to the school's guard

I have been told by a couple of sources that the SRO was either called off campus responding to something happening or it could have been his day off,” she said. “They are stretched very thin.”

Neither BSO nor school district officials responded to requests for comment about where the officer was at the time.

You sound like an ambulance chaser who's about to slap a suit on the school system over the bodies of 17 dead individuals.

I haven't seen. Looks like the adoptive parents were a good bit older, though.

Not at all. But that will undoubtedly happen and probably should. I’d go a step further, unless whomever came up with the schools safety plan can demonstrate they called for and were overruled on getting more protection..they should be held criminally negligent.

Don"t care what he sounds like because he's not wrong.

As we've seen millions of times, doing something for yourself works much better than waiting on the government to do it for you

Let the kids and teachers carry at school

That’s the entire point. When you take away a persons natural right to self defense, you are responsible for their safety. The school failed in its responsibility. It looks like it didn’t even really try to provide a safe environment.

One guard with a pistol ain't gonna do shite. He prolly gets paid $10 an hour. I would take off running if I saw a crazy Chicano running at me with a rifle.

If you're going to secure a school, you need trained professionals with fully auto M-4s and tactical gear. And you need at least 6 or 8 of them. They also need a direct line to the local PD for backup (no dialing 911 and waiting).

It needs to be a real show of force or it's useless. It needs to send a message "try any funny bizness and you're dead in under 30 seconds".
