I can say that a two term mayor attended my same church before, during, and after election...in 8 yrs I heard, from the pulpit, the mayors name once and it was completely unrelated to politics. Pastor wasn't crossing that line, even for a long time attendee and rightly so..even if 95% of the voting membership voted for the mayor
