Complaint

From a cursory review of the Complaint, it is alleged Twitter's selective censorship and/or moderation of contents by users did not extend to the distribution of child exploitation material. Specifically, a high school kid was blackmailed online to do inappropriate things. When he finally stopped giving in, a video surfaced of everything he did. His parents reported it to Twitter and they did nothing about it, even concluding the video did not violate their terms. Eventually, a federal law enforcement officer made a demand for them to remove the material and they did. Makes claims under federal and state law (california).

Complaint also cites Doresey's own commentary on banning Trump from earlier this month.

I'm all for Twitter being held responsible once they decided they were going to moderate content to the extent they have (ie. conservative speech, etc).

Inb4 no standing

Sad thing is they will settle out of court and nothing meaningful will change within Twitter.

When I still had twitter, or maybe it was FaceBook, banned several of my posts about Hunter's laptop as "child exploitation".

I didn't have any of his sick pictures in the posts.

I never heard that term until this election fiasco.

The Judicial branch was in on the steal. First they told the people sueing that it was "too early" and they had to wait for state certification, then they said "laches" you are too late!

It is like some childhood game. laches, laches, laches, you missed me!!!

I'm sure Laches will be plead in the Answer, though with Twitter's retention of data, I doubt they can show they have been prejudiced by any alleged delay (ie. natural disposing of data).

I will be interested in Twitter's response and if the case makes it to discovery - I do agree that if it makes it past a dismissal that it will likely settle very quietly.

Well what do ya know. It's more of that "crazy conspiracy theory" shite that the Q thread was on top of long ago... Remember guys, it was those Q folks that destroyed this country.

I was suspended from Twitter last year for misgendering, yet videos of two 13 year Olds having sex doesn't violate the TOS.

When you decide to act as a publisher - by moderating what content shall be allowed and disallowed - you've increased the burden on yourself and availed yourself to be sued.

Ol' Jack likely hasn't realized the shite he's stepping in in the name of "social justice."
