I'm so glad this is being exposed. And to think, it would not be if not for Musk.

Nothing will happen but it definitively proves us unhinged conspiracy theorists were right about everything and the MSM’s sheeples were wrong about it all

This is probably a good time to remind everyone that this is ONLY Twitter. There are contemporaries of Yoel Roth who acted as gatekeepers at EVERY big tech outlet - Facebook, Instagram, Google, YouTube, et. al. To Deege's point - we're only finding out about it because Musk bought Twitter and is shining a spotlight on all of it.

It is good to see what most us figured was going on, however, nothing will happen.

Yeah, the revelations are demoralizing in a way. This batch might be the worst. Blumenthal is total garbage.

All of these Twitter files are like trees falling in a forest.
The MSM has chosen that it is not making a sound.

Thankfully, we do not need their consent to expose their complicity.

Everyone in congress and the White House who was responsible for this should be lined up and shot until there’s nothing left.

Taibbi had a good summary of this batch on his substack.
quote:
Remember this one? Russian bots and trolls were blamed by virtually every major news organization in the country for amplifying the hashtag #ReleaseTheMemo. The files contain a mass of emails from executives blowing up this ridiculous story, once and for all.
The #ReleaseTheMemo scandal was one of the more shameful episodes in the recent history of our media, but taken seriously by all but one or two mainstream editors at the time. All citing the same dubious source — the Hamilton 68 “dashboard” trumpeted by former FBI counterintelligence official and current MSNBC contributor Clint Watts — they insisted Russians deployed Twitter bot-armies to whip up cyber-support for Republican congressmann Devin Nunes. Nunes had just released a classified memo alleging Democrats and the FBI used the infamous paid oppositional research dossier of ex-spy Christopher Steele to obtain secret FISA surveillance authority on Trump-connected figures like Carter Page, amid other improprieties.
We now know Twitter internally found no evidence, as in zero, that Russians were anywhere near this story.
“I just reviewed the accounts that posted the first 50 tweets with #releasethememo,” wrote a piqued Trust and Safety chief Yoel Roth, in all other respects as loyal a Democratic partisan as can be imagined. “None of them show any signs of affiliation to Russia.”
“These hashtags are organic,” said a second.
“Not seeing it,” said a third.
This is a constant theme in the files. In addition to revelations about FBI censorship, shadow-banning, Pentagon use of fake accounts, and suppression of true information about issues like Covid-19, the Twitter emails regularly expose the wide delta between what we were told about foreign threats, and what a major platform seeing the raw data knew. Even within the heavily partisan culture at Twitter, the regular “Russia, Russia, Russia” claims by politicians and media in self-serving pursuit of headlines caused eyes to roll.

He probably should have done something like Apple used to do for the announcement of a new iPhone so it couldn't be ignored.

I wonder if there is a 'super thread' out there to combine the findings of the Twitter Files, among other discoveries, to provide a one-stop location for such things.

It's really quite the indictment of the character of people in Big Tech, that they saw firsthand how RussiaGate and other things were going down, and they didn't step forward to set the record straight.

MSM’s sheeples
Wrong terminology. People have to stop viewing the media and the press as journalists, reporters, or anyone else interested in discovering or communicating truth. Call them what they are. They are not sheeple. They are not blind, incompentant airheads (Okay, The View might be an exception here.) They are political operatives and they are strategically and deliberately manipulating the public to get them to respond exactly how the poltical establishment in Washington wants them to. The media, the politicians, the intelligence agencies, the political think tanks in Washington are all different rooms in the same castle.
