not allowing marijuana is much, much safer than freely allowing it.
Time to ban salt, lard, soft drinks, fatty foods, dairy products, tobacco, alcohol and any activity that is risky in nature.

There are health and safety issues with marijuana.
We should consider the costs of illegal marijuana though. The drug trade generates a lot of violence. On both sides of the border.

Trump adds federal decriminalization and reclassification of marijuana along with prison reform to his 2020 campaign and he might win 65% of the popular vote

TRUMP needs to get out in front of this issue and LEGALIZE IT!
Needs Congress to legalize.
He can reschedule by executive fiat. He can also order the DOJ to defer jurisdiction to the locals in all weed cases.

Yes and same with plenty of other things that are very legal.

So is not allowing alcohol
Well there was that whole Prohibition thingy

If Trump moves on decriminalizing it really doesn't seem to affect me too much as a non smoker. I still would abstain and raise my kids to not smoke either. A drink here and there is a different story for me personally.
People are using it irregardless of the legality of it. So I'm realistic terms it is already legal except for dealing it.
I do know that if Trump jumps on this issue before Democrats do than he wins the election in a landslide.

You didn't think this one thru, did you
soft drinks - consumption amounts in cities being banned
tobacco - restrictions in place
alcohol - Prohibition
salt, lard, fatty foods, dairy products - required labeling on packaging to discourage consumption

What?
Well, it appears we are a little too late in your case

I’m rather neutral on the issue but wish Trump would do it to take the issue off the table for the dims.

But you can still buy it very easily and readily available and safely and confidently and legally and you can buy as much as you want and keep it at your house and drink as much as you want everyday without consequences.

Are you under the impression that prohibition is still going on? Do you think prohibition was a net positive for society? Well prohibition is over and you can still buy it very easily and readily available and safely and confidently and legally and you can buy as much as you want and keep it at your house and drink as much as you want everyday without consequences.

It's your opinion that we are currently safer and better off with prohibition in place?

So is not allowing alcohol but we don’t have problems with it being legal. And the fact that marijuana is much safer.
So did anybody ever figure out the effects of driving while high?
because nobody knows for sure, lots of advocacy bullshite out there

You shouldn't do it past a certain point. Just like you shouldn't drive drunk. And I'm sure we can pick a limit and test for it just like we do with alcohol.
But if I want to come home after a long week, put on a record, smoke a joint, and relax should be able to do so. It literally harms no one and it's my personal freedom to do so. If I go out and harm someone then you punish me for that crime.

Its my opinion that a person who never consumes MJ (or alcohol, or tobacco, or soft drinks) is safer from health or impaired decision making
And you disagree with that?

And you disagree with that?
Not necessarily. But depends, a person with extreme anxiety, for instance, may benefit from a controlled dose of marijuana and therefore be in a better position to make a decision. It beats the hell out of over prescribed xanex.
A person with health problems from chemo side effects may be able to offset those side-effects with a controlled dose of marijuana leading to better health.
A person with some muscle pain or arthritis pain may benefit from marijuana over opioids.
A young man stressed beyond belief may benefit from getting a little high improving his health and decision making and taking away some of that angry edge and the harm it brings. It it certainly better than alcohol and prescription drugs.
And even if a person has never ever used marijuana or drank alcohol or r a soft drink or anything else that person is an uptight square narc. And who wants to be around an uptight square narc?

I don't smoke the stuff. However, I have no problem with legalizing it. In my experience alcohol has destroyed plenty of peoples careers, families, health, etc.. Alcohol is no better or worse for folks than marijuana. Time to turn the page on the archaic mentality on marijuana.
