She ain't getting thru, and don't understand Thune being on that list. I saw him on an interview saying all cabinet picks must get voted in.

Collins and Cornyn on that list already stated they are voting for her. Thune will vote for her also, no doubt.

Why does the Senate even get a say in this partisan BS? The POTUS won the election and should be able to pick his team. Period.

But the hearings are complete bullshite dog and pony show.
I absolutely HATE when there is a hearing and the politicians say ‘YES OR NO ANSWER’…. I don’t like either side doing this.
There should be something saying that it isn’t "legal" (or whatever term you can use) to ask those questions and the person being interviewed can only give a yes or no answer.

It shouldnt. In fact it used to not be this way. Somehow it grew over time and we have the mess we have here now.

The role of Senate committees in scrutinizing nominees grew in the 20th century. Before the 1860s, the Senate considered most nominations without referring them to a committee for review or investigation.

I wonder who is actually behind the Insurrection Barbie account.
If Tulsi is in trouble it’s because of her past statements, and she didn’t do enough to impress in her hearing.
She has a reputation of being more willing to give the benefit of the doubt to those who oppose the US Intelligence Community. And in examples during the hearing, she was been proven to be wrong or uninformed, so she looked foolish in taking the wrong side.
That’s cool if you want to host a podcast and rail against the US. But that is not going to work so well if that is who she is trying to lead.
