“One of the most absurd cancel culture stories I've yet covered: Edward Ball is the author of "Life of a Klansman," in which he reckons with a white supremacist ancestor. It's an acclaimed anti-racism book. Students forced Tulane to cancel his virtual talk.”

“A graduate commented that he disagreed with the decision to cancel, and an admissions officer responded: "Cry about it."

some enterprising person(s) or state is going to establish a true university and they will have a waiting list for years

Why can’t those who disagree with him simply not attend?

“And it's not just random students. Here was the student government: "An apology is the first step in undoing the harm you have caused many members of the community, but is in no way the last."

“You'd be forgiven for thinking the students are just confused, and wrongly though the author was a Klansman. This isn't the case. They know exactly what the point-of-view is, and they think Tulane committed violence against the marginalized by greenlighting this event.”

Lol, no they’re not. You’re living in the Soviet Republic essentially but somehow haven’t noticed yet.

Why can’t people who aren’t worried about muh COVID live their lives? “My body my choice” only applies to people who want to murder and dimantle an unborn fetus I guess

Wasn’t Paul Tulane one of the largest Confederate benefactors? They may want to STFU about anyone being “cancelled”

College students are astronomically stupid.

The best way I've heard it put is like this:
If conservatives don't want to eat meat, they won't eat meat. If liberals don't want to eat meat, they want to make it where no one can eat meat.

“Stop paying people who have profited off of their proximity to white supremacy and the literal Klan and replace this with a Black voice,” another said. “Alumni and students are sick of you shoving racial justice under the rug, and this is just a small example of a larger toxic problem.”

It was an anti-Klan talk. Seems they were mad because it was a white guy doing the talk

This generation is lost. I will hate to see what’s left of the USA when this generation is running it.

I'll make sure to note this on my next $00.33 alumni donation.

Nailed it except often times they can’t afford meat today bc they didn’t work yesterday so unless you give them meat you don’t deserve to have it either.
