I want to agree, but I fear the dedication, conviction and relentlessness of the Covidians. This lunacy is essential to their being now. Crucial. Necessary. They’re not going away easily.

I'm amazed it has lasted as long as it has. I cannot believe that there are still people who have hardly left their homes for 2 years. We live in 2 different worlds right now. The problem is that a lot of corporations push that insane weird world to the sane places.

Never underestimate the “stupidity” of the government when a dollar can be made.

The whole point of the mandates were to stop the spread. Omicron blew that out of the water. All they have now is the vaccine “makes symptoms less severe”.

Nola preventing 5yr olds from dining inside at a donut shop unless they prove they are vaccinated is about getting them to do it and not about controlling the spread. It is literally just to penalize those who are not vaccinated. Avegno has even said so much with her “we need to get the kid vaccinated #s to adult levels”.

Many many many people have created new habits. Changing habits creates a lot of fear. The fear of changing habits outweighs the fear of COVID, it’s just easier to blame COVID.

I highly doubt thing ago back to the way they were without a fight. People don’t like changing their habits.
