No, it's not. I see it specifically happening, therefore I know it happens.
You have not seen it happen, therefore you assume it never happens.
Logically, there's a big difference in those two things.
For me to get down on your moronic level, I would have to say "I've seen it happen, therefore it always happens"

Theyre voting with their wallet. Y'all are in denial, stop reading that twink Daugherty and his ilk.
So, we just thinking all of these prices increasing is “Trump”?
Jesus
No denial here, we’ve got a bunch of folks that shouldn’t be voting but this is America

I’ll never understand the Trumpkins need to celebrate increased taxes. Maybe if we managed to eliminate the federal income tax and replace it with tariffs, that would make sense. As it stands, the federal gov’t is double taxing its citizenry in an attempt to centrally plan the economy.

Yet, youre guessing at who absorbed the cost.
He is the importer and didn’t absorb the cost. Not much to guess, dummy.
Shrub,
This means the Chinese company paid the tariff and no cost to the importer or end consumer. Just trying to help....

Perhaps. But if the market cannot absorb the tariff, their choices are to eat it or not sell their product.
You act like they are just choosing to eat it, when in reality they have no choice.
The market is a bitch.

Sounds like shitty business practices.
If the goal is to rehome mfg, its will never work if the "Chinese are eating the tariffs."
The importer is responsible for the tariff.

They would be retarded to keep selling at a loss.
Even to maintain market share here.

The tariff can be paid by multiple parties, as long as it gets paid. In many cases, the tariff is paid by the manufacturer or a third-party middle-man.
Even shipping companies, such as DHL, pay the tariff and pass it on in your shipping invoice.

Why are you assuming they are selling at a loss?

DDP can be paid by anyone but suppliers usually hide the tariff cost.
Otherwise the importer shoulders the bill.

If they're paying a 50% tariff, I know many are.

I think you underestimate the profit margins for the Chinese companies, which are heavily subsidized by the CCP.

Trump sees the world in 12 dimensions.

Yep. Binary thinkers don’t have the capacity for anything but a surface level knowledge.

I looked it up, looks like most chinese companies would go underwater with by eating the tariffs.

Everyone has seen your posts from yesterday about ICE. And everyone has seen you advocate for taxing the rich. The board is not as dumb as you. I do love the fact you’re clearly embarrassed by your own positions.

If it were cheaper to manufacture here, companies would already be doing it. For the tariffs to have their intended effect of bringing manufacturing back, it has to be more lucrative to produce here than overseas, which means the price you pay at the store will go up.
What about higher wages and more jobs? What about domestic competiton, robotics and AI driving the prices down for domestic manufacturers?

Gee Shrub, you do seem to require more than a fair share of help.
How do you know the Chinese company is selling at a loss? Maybe profit per unit is a sawbuck and the tariff is fifty cent? Huh?
