Outrage Dilution

We've talked about it here.
Every morning he has 100 things done before the media has their first cup of coffee.
Trump attacks everywhere at once leaving confusion and exhaustion.

quote:

When you encounter a situation that is working great except for one identifiable problem, you can focus on the problem and try to fix it. But if you have a dozen complaints at the same time, none of them looks special. The whole situation just looks confusing, and you don’t know where to start. So you wait and see what happens. Humans need contrast in order to make solid decisions that turn into action. Trump removed all of your contrast by providing multiple outrages of similar energy.

You’re probably seeing the best persuasion you will ever see from a new president. Instead of dribbling out one headline at a time, so the vultures and critics can focus their fire, Trump has flooded the playing field. You don’t know where to aim your outrage. He’s creating so many opportunities for disagreement that it’s mentally exhausting. Literally. He’s wearing down the critics, replacing their specific complaints with entire encyclopedias of complaints. And when Trump has created a hundred reasons to complain, do you know what impression will be left with the public?

He sure got a lot done.

Even if you don’t like it.

In only a few days, Trump has made us question what-the-hell every other president was doing during their first weeks in office. Were they even trying?

This is exactly what is happening.

Even I can't disagree that he's been Presidenting like a madman, or at least making it seem that way.

But Trump could have done the complete opposite, and not done a single thing, and Scott Adams would have found some way to argue the genius level persuasion of Trump's lack of Political Blitzkrieg.

He's a machine for sure. I'd rather him working for us that against us for sure.

You've been anti-Adams for a while, but the Madman won in a landslide like he predicted when nobody thought he would

And 98% of other media would have still shite all over Trump

Trump is doing a Blitzkrieg on the left and they don't know whether to defend their left flank or their other left flank.

I've known just a few people in my life that have robot power. They're all wildly productive and don't need sleep.

Be that good or bad, strap in.

I suspect that the energy and time management skills that have helped make him a successful businessman helps him be an effective president.

Like him or hate him....he's wasted no time getting started.

Yes. Because while he makes persuasive arguments himself, I can't stand how frequently butchers the very psychological theory he's using to support his arguments.

Besides, he's like a wittier Paul Krugman; we always know which way he'll twist the argument. That's boring.

Meh. If 80% of presidential elections had larger margins, then either landslides are the overwhelming norm or it wasn't a landslide.

He got it right, but I would think that the "master persuader" would have been able to conjure WAY more than 46% of the vote, especially against a terrible candidate.

President Madman....the guy is working hard for all Americans, some just choose not to see it because of their politics. Listening to Trump he sounds more 3rd party than a republican.

The flurry of activity is something to behold.

Sure. But irrational bias without a shred of objectivity is problematic regardless of the side it falls on.

It's also been effective at distracting the media to cover unimportant shite and they aren't attacking him on things like defunding abortions

I can't figure you out. You fricking disagree with everyone, whether left or right.

You are either the most moderate person to ever live, or you're just an a-hole who likes to play devils advocate to every fricking position on earth.

What the frick do you believe in dude? Are you just a fricking troll who wants to disagree with every post you read?

WTF?

You left out this part which is equally good...

quote:

For a fun party trick, ask your most liberal friends if they think the Federal government should have a say in whether a woman gets an abortion or not.
When they say the Federal government should stay out of that decision, inform them that President Trump shares their opinion.
He doesn’t want the Federal government to be in the business of making health care choices for women.
He prefers leaving that decision to the woman, her doctor, and state laws.

Trump isn't exactly a radical. If not for the media's alternative facts and CNN's tabloid rumors, they'd probably wouldn't be so terrified and fearful of a Trump presidency.

You're smart enough to realize that the credibility of Adam's arguments is independent of his credibility in trying to course correct our political destruction.

If he can affect outcomes positively under the guise of persuasion expert, the critique you're, quite possibly accurately, making becomes entirely misplaced in regards to Scott Adam's goal
