Tarrifs actually lower inflation, you can look at every time they’ve been applied throughout history What will cause inflation is more QE, which is where it will come when the recession hits( it’s coming) and the Fed prints…
Yes. As Milton Friedman repeatedly said, “Inflation is always a monetary supply problem with the money supply growing faster than the economic output.”

Where’s Slackster? That dude was constantly spamming us with economic doomsday predictions—all of which turned out to be dead wrong.

Seems best to ignore comments with that "Stanford" logo next to the names.

He basically unleashed the energy sector, went after burdensome regulations, lowered taxes and got the hell out of the way. Then the magic happened
if we could only imagine, if the RINO/Dem Congress got out his way, and codified the things he was doing. This nation would have an amazing future. But of course the anti-American lefties on this board don't understand that.

The one thing with Trump that people harp on is his increase in deficit. Which I get with anyone else, but he's a "spend money, to make way more money" kind of guy. Which in theory for him would be to spend our way out of it. In a perfect world he'd be trusted and allowed to do, but unfortunately the Democrats/RINOs just want to roadblock to spend any excess, instead of putting gains towards our debt responsibly, like a reasonable person does.

Ordinarily, they are not wrong. What they failed to take into account was that our trade balance was so out of whack that it was in itself inflationary. Rebalancing the trade deficit negated the inflationary pressures and encourages American production.

The inflation crisis isn’t dependent on the price of coffee or gas, it’s the amount of money printed and dumped into circulation without any value backing it. And it’s 8% per year, and will lead to a very bad bubble breaking.
