How much American money do these people send out of our country to their ‘families’?
They (Mexican's) sent -2.1million LESS remittance transactions in June '25 compared to June '24. They're sending a whole lot less US $$ to their "families". I imagine Mex Prez Scheinbaum is getting hounded by the banks in Mexico, that's 3 months in a row of severely decreased remittances of US$$$ transferring Mexico.

Problem with that tweet is that's not what Trump said.

You fell for it again Roger.

I love DJT. He makes benevolent and thoughtful decisions to real world problems. He has made no decision that I truly disagree with. So no. No TDS.

Demand for what? I'm just trying to figure out wtf you guys are talking about in the context of the black market meaning we need ten million illegals to do work Americans won't do.
I'm glad you asked, I too would like to know exactly what the black market is comprised of relative to farm workers. Is there a black market for berry pickers in Cali? Citrus & almond harvesters? Day laborers?

Where did you get that number?

Where did you get that number?

A couple of ways -

First, it would have to be about that number to be a compelling argument for "you're never going to get Americans to do the jobs illegals do".

Also, that's (very) roughly the number of able-bodied Americans of working age that aren't working.

Oh, and I'll add as a check on the logic - if there are 20 million black marketers doing $3T in business, the average black marketer is doing $150K per annum.

You can't catch anyone in a gotcha when they talk out of both sides of their mouths.

So now we support foreign criminals staying in our country raping and murdering - and picking fruit.

Thats a bad way of looking at it.

.
There arent 20 million illegals working in this country. There are only 4-5 million illegals working in agriculture, and whitey still aint doing that work.

Fish plants locally used to hire all college kids. Now its all immigrants. Not because the immigrants were cheaper, Its because whitey is lazy and thought they could do better.

Youre not getting white people back in chicken plants, avocado fields or slime lines today. Just not happening.

Yeah, and give them legal status.

I'm pretty sure this is what MAGA has been advocating for, legal immigration not illegal immigration.

Notice all those caravans from the southern border? Me either. They are gone. Now that we have the border under control we can handle immigration in a systematic and orderly way.

So there are 5 million illegals working in ag but you you think 20 million total working in the country is out of bounds? That seems fricky.

and whitey still aint doing that work.

Then whitey should starve.

You approached my argument from the opposite end I did. You counted illegals. I counted able-bodied Americans that are living off the tax payer. My approach makes more sense, and in fact - if for argument's sake we accept your suggestion that there's nothing close to 20 million illegals working, then my argument is a no-brainer given whatever the number of illegal workers is, we've probably got two lazy unemployed Americans for each job opened up by a deportation.

I keep reading this but it's like static economic projections. You're assuming an able-bodied American has an option to live off the taxpayer. I'm not.

Following the law is expensive and time-intensive, so why bother at this point? Just bring in labor and pay them under the table, which a lot have always done.
