President Trump is weighing whether to declare a national emergency over the coronavirus, which would free up additional resources to combat the rapidly spreading disease.

The president indicated to reporters on Thursday that using an emergency declaration under the Stafford Act was under consideration, but would not say definitively whether he would sign it.

Trump can declare a national emergency or major disaster under the Stafford Act, which would enable the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to mobilize additional resources to fight the coronavirus.

There were roughly 1,300 people with confirmed cases of the coronavirus in the U.S. as of Thursday morning, and 37 people had died from the virus, according to The New York Times. LINK

Honest question: what additional resources would this free up?

It’s all about funding. Agencies funds are “programmed” in their budget and can only be spent on approved items. This declaration would allow agencies to pull budget dollars from other uses to spend on this.

He needs to declare Martial Law, suspend elections, and have the military police major cities with quarantines and curfews.

curious what the proposed plans would be. im a nerd for stuff like that.

seems like it would make sense to tap into the existing logistic networks of walgreens/cvs etc, utilizing their distribution centers and supply chains, and essentially turn them into de facto testing centers.

declare an emergency, shut down all interwebs access to librul communities. force them all into their homes and nail their feet to the floor (literally). these are the morons that cannot behave and take care of their shite. they are the ones fighting over toilet paper on aisle 7 and leaving their coronavirus remnants all over everything.
