The irony of this is hilarious because it’s Ron supporters who whine about populism yet their claim of why he’s so good is because he’s the best governor, which is a populist opinion

Yes, but the anti-tariff fundamentalists think prices absolutely must rise. There is simply no alternative. American companies have to raise prices.
In this case they do.
They have a legal fiduciary responsibility to their shareholders to maximize profits.
That isn't absolute, of course, but this isn't a high bar to clear. Charge 25% more and keep the same market share by doing nothing more than changing the sticker on the car is pretty much a no brainer.
Whether you or any other Trump sycophants think they have to raise prices is irrelevant, because barring Trump actually taking retributive action against them or them believing that he will, they're going to whether you think they have to or not.
And I'll bet cash money with anybody on here over that.

How is that in and of itself a populist opinion?

So he is now interfering with free capitalism with threats of government intervention that is not due to monopolies?
How can any “conservative” support this stupidity?
Guy wants to basically just threaten everyone that won’t do what he wants even if it is unconstitutional and abuse of power.
But hey, since it’s your guy abusing power l, it is okay.

Do you think the word "populism" means the same as "popular?"
If not, I don't get what you're saying here.

We know don't. You do get some things, and others you can't open your eyes.
Example, you want to say econ 101.... which Adam Smith is taught. Well not all of Adam Smith because it goes against what the globalists wanted.
You buy what you were taught, and you were not taught all of it.
Btw, they teach socialism and social justice in universities every day. We have people graduating from it every year. Are they right simply because a college preached it to them and gave them a piece of paper?

With all due respect to the President (or any govt overlord), it is the prerogative of PRIVATE sector businesses to set Supply & Demand pricing of products & services.
It is not a good thing in a Democratic Constitutional Republic to fear govt interference, retribution or punishment.
All fock all that. Roosevelt did it, Kennedy, Nixon
And now Trump doesn't get to when he is trying to pull us out of an economic mess?
Stick Ann Rand up your arse

Or maybe the people claiming to support him aren’t real right wingers either that’s what I’m starting to get
Well, they are populists.
Look, given the two choices we had in the last election, Trump was the only choice. That wasn't a mistake. The mistake was during the primary season.
And I like some of the stuff he does, and some of it is stuff that no one else has the guts to do.
But this is exactly why I lamented the fact that the Republican base has abandoned conservatism in favor of populism during the primaries last time around.
When there are no principles behind the agenda, the agenda can go anywhere. Right, far right, left, very far left, there are no guardrails.
People here love to hate Roger (and I have had some disagreements with him myself), but he's absolutely right about populism. It's a collectivist philosophy and it will eventually reduce down to some form of far left government.
This isn't fascism yet, but it's definitely leaning as far over the velvet rope as you can get to take as close a look at it as you can before you go over that rope.

What?
I get making mistakes while typing, but that was fairly incoherent.

I think I smell an easy mark.
How much would you like to bet that—barring a believable threat or an actual action by Trump to retaliate against car manufacturers—if this auto tariff lasts a year, all auto prices in America will go up by more than the rate of inflation?
$100,000?

It was easy to follow. It's just a simple truth that you can not address.
That's why you went to that line of "attack".
