I can't find anything specifically from 2020 regarding DeSantis not locking down for perpetuity like the blue states. I do know that back in 2022 he called DeSantis "gutless" for not mentioning whether or not he had or was going to receive a booster shot. He didn't mention him by name but it was clear he was talking about DeSantis.

Remember the 15 days...
Jacksonville officially reopened its beaches April 17 with restrictions That's 16 days.
Cocoa Beach followed suit.
Satellite Beach.. followed them.
Indialantic... May the 1st
Melbourne Beach...
Indian Harbour Beach
etc etc etc. All shut down for that time frame and then opened on a limited basis.
Collier County.. April 30th..
