The order will direct Attorney General Pam Bondi and Homeland Security Secretary Krisi Noem to “provide a list of sanctuary cities in which local officials are not complying with this federal order and are not complying with federal immigration laws,” press secretary Karoline Leavitt said on Monday, adding that the published list will include “state and local jurisdictions that obstruct the enforcement of federal immigration laws.”
“It’s quite simple— obey the law, respect the law, and don’t obstruct federal immigration officials and law enforcement officials when they are simply trying to remove public safety threats from our nation’s communities,” Leavitt said.
The press secretary and Trump’s border czar Tom Homan previewed the order at a 8:30 a.m. briefing on Monday, which was focused on the president’s actions on immigration in the first 100 days of his second administration.
Trump will also sign another executive order on Monday that aims to “strengthen and unleash America’s law enforcement to pursue criminals and protect innocent citizens,” Leavitt said. LINK

don't worry a leftist judge will stop this EO and say that the cities can do what they want and Trump must double the government funding to them

and a stroke of the pen, he gets the left focused on another Legal Battle, dividing their resources yet again.....

Let’s pass a law banning Sanctuary Cities from receiving federal funds and its elected officials are considered guilty of obstruction of justice.

The EO is to compile a list of sanctuary cities not cooperating with ICE to deport criminal illegals.
I guess it's a bit of a warning of whatever actions might be taken.

If a State wants to provide sanctuary cities, then the State can fund them.

this has been going on since day 1, majority of all of these "raids" both in jails and local/public businesses have been in "sanctuary" cities...
once the funding (snap, heathcare, etc) gets cut off or even reduced, most will self deport with what they have as if they get caught, not only are they gone, so are their "assets". Its going to take a long time to get there

Did we need an EO for that? Couldn't he just direct them to do it?
