Does this boil down to preferences in leadership style? The exaggeration and over-promising detract somewhat from my admiration of Trump. Of course, not enough to consider voting for a Democrat.
Not that my opinion matters much, but my preference would have been a nod to reality (and avoidance of the liar label) by Trump saying something such as:
"My intent is to build a border wall and have Mexico pay for it. I will move Heaven and earth to make that happen."
Or
"Because of my negotiation track record, I have a good chance of ending the war in Ukraine by the time I take office."
What would be wrong with that? Would honesty make Trump look weak???

Out of curiosity when would be a good time to start to see his stuff occurring so I can check back in? Will be the first day? Will it be 6 months? Etc.
Let me know when you think he should be able to take care of all these promises he is making or made to everyone. When should we start seeing more money in our pocket? When should we see crime go down? When should we see more jobs?
Proofs in the pudding. I want to see these things he says he is Flo g to for sure. I just don’t ever see him following through with a thing. All talk.

Yes, all major politicians have a magic wand that gives them 5 wishes that they use while in office.
Ok, sarcasm aside. First and foremost let's take a look at the political room. Yes, his allies are moving to stand with him. But the power players are also moving to stand against him. In a lot of different ways.
He's got 2 years before there's a shift in either direction, in the Congress and Senate. So about 1 year before every one of them are more concerned with the vote, than they are the agenda.
I'm more of a realist, than an idealist. He's going to have an extremely hard fight with many of these issues. Some may get resolved. Passing the Laken Riley Act in Congress was a good start.
Some of this may not get resolved until Vance takes over. Assuming, Vance gets through the primaries, and the next election.
PS- I also forgot about all the activist judges that have been blocking all the stuff that we've been trying to do, to set things right.

I criticize Trump at times and get in correctly lumped in with anti-trump crowd, but anyone who has paid a modicum of attention knows he's not "all talk."

“Tax cuts?” Yes, he and Congress got this accomplished. A win for Americans.
“Significant economic improvement during first term”
Stock market did well after COVID, but we’ve also had 2 straight years of 20% returns in stock market under Prez Dementia, so wash.
“Quiet Middle East and NK during first term”
NK is NOT a threat to the US…never has been and never will be. Kim has been quieter last 4 years with no mass troop deployments to DMZ unlike he did under Trump and drawing his ire…so…wash.
“Quiet Middle East” Okay…wrong. Trump took out Solemani and ratcheted up the temp with Iran…unnecessary and now Trump - and Vance - are banging war drum re: assisting Israel to target Iran nuke program. Trump and Biden are two sides of the same coin on supporting the Israel’s genocide on its own population.

My OP has absolutely nothing to do with Biden and his failed presidency. Try and stay focused on the issue being discussed and don’t obfuscate with silly gaslighting.
Trump will never broker any peace deal in Ukraine…it will only be settled when Russia accomplishes its objectives. Period.
