We decided to raise tariffs on Canada over a few lbs of Fentanyl that we allowed in our own country.

Its a dog and pony show.

Hey clown, you do realize it’s not all about the drugs huh?

Right?

You do realize it you idiot, don’t you?

No you don’t because you’re a fricking clown!

The only issue with Venezuala is not about the “drugs”

They are importing and running terrorist from around the globe they Venezuala INITIALLY under coordinated orgs, then send/used to send them thru the southern border.

And that chapter and chickens are about to come home and roost with the DS next events. When the terrorist we have start with their shite.

Do you think it’s more likely the Biden DOJ acted shady or that Trump nefariously wants to release a Honduran ex-executive??

I hadn't really researched the matter, but it looks like Trump is doing this for political purposes: that the ex-President's party is more favorable to the US. Trump's pardon of Hernandez strengthens that party.

Newsweek: Trump pardon of Hernandez

Of course, Biden's DOJ was shady AF. I can't, however, find ANY suggestion that this particular prosecution and conviction was out of line. Trump didn't give any details.

So, my best guess is that Trump is pardoning Hernandez for an excellent, political reason: to promote the foreign policy of the United States. Pardoning Maduro might also fit that reason...or not, I was just asking whether or not he would pardon Maduro.

Reading the underlying story (rather than just the X snippet), Maduro asked for a pardon and the Trump Administration rejected it.

The President has offered safe passage out of Venezuela. Without a pardon, what does that mean: "Either let us arrest you or we will kill you and if your family dies, oh well"?

I'm not accusing Trump of anything nefarious. Without a pardon offer, it just means that our desire is not to have Maduro leave ASAP.

I would never presume to know why our government actually does what it does. The assault on Panama cured me of taking anything our government says about the drug wars at face value.

Here's an article 2019 about the first Trump Administration DEA's investigation of Hernandez:

DEA investigates Honduran President and Others

Was Trump's DEA just making that up?

I hadn't, but now I have. I didn't care why Trump had pardoned Hernandez. My assumption was for good, political reasons. Turns out that's probably correct.

Tom, I'm just trying to understand what's happening. If the goal is to get Maduro to leave Venezuela, why not pardon him?

Rather than answer that, you laugh at those of us who bring information and try to engage in objective analysis. Pathetic.

You're suggesting a direct hit by American forces on a foreign head of state in his own country? How many dead American soldiers would be acceptable on that mission?

You're dumb AF if you think Maduro is going to be in the crosshairs of any Special OPS.
