I am not voting for Trump in the primary. If it were held today, I would likely vote for DeSantis, but that is not solid either.

But if Trump is the nominee, I will vote for him in the general and campaign for others to do so as well, because we can't take another 4 years of Biden, Harris, or whatever replacement the Dems come up with.

So, Trump primary voters... will you do the same? Will you vote for the nominee no matter what? Or will you be butt hurt and stay home and ensure the Dems win again?

This thread was done just a couple of days ago.

And you said No, you would prefer Joe Biden.

Thanks for that.

I have a feeling overall turnout in this election is going to be far lower than 2020. People on both sides seem far less enthused and much more fatigued with politics right now.

...by count. From a percentage standpoint, Ron's are highers. There were 4 or 5 OnlyRons since you created that thread. And, even you said you weren't sure you'd vote Trump in the last couple of days.

From the start of this race, the estimate of Trump voters that wouldn't vote for Desantis was about 10-20%. It's why Desantis can't win the general. It's why the very steep uphill climb to beat Trump in the primary didn't even matter.

There's zero chance that he will take as many independents from the democrats as he'll lose from Trump's base.

Desantis isn't starting from 75M. He's starting from about 65M.

You bots act like democrats. That’s a stupid question when it’s the Ron bots saying trump can’t win the general because other republicans won’t vote for him . But you’ll seem to really fear his supporters doing the same thing .

Because the numbers say the vast middle and independents will not vote for Trump. It isn't Ron Desantis supporters for the most part, who make up the right wing of the party, not the middle.

So the trick is to find someone that:

Shares your values
Will get the middle and independents to vote in higher numbers

Unless you are just attached to one guy and one guy only, for some reason...

Politicians are completely disposable. Who can win and shares my values, that's it.

I definitely didn't say that. Do you really have to lie to come up with an argument against me? That's pathetic.

Hypothetically if Mitch McConnell was running against Trump in the primary and beat him, would you vote for McConnell?

What if Paul Ryan was the GOP candidate? Or Mitt Romney?

Would you vote for them?

I would vote for Trump in a Primary over all of those people, no question.

If those people were the candidate, I would vote for any of them in the General except for Mittens again.

I would stay home in that limited scenario, because the GOP would really need to learn a lesson.

They don't care. their only criteria is:

Never held elected Office before running for President

They prefer someone to not have any record whatsoever to be judged on, its really bizarre stuff

That's a reason behind this thread.

If that is real, then I don't see how those people can call themselves conservative.

I see many more OnlyTrump than OnlyRon.

But the OnlyRon people are just as bad as the OnlyTrump

They don't.

They are populists. They believe in Trump and whatever his position is that week, and that is it.

When he spouts off on something they would have disagreed with the day before, they simply say "I know the man" and that is that.

Over whatever the Dems are going to put up?

Yes, every day, and twice on Sundays.

I don't know how to make this more clear. The worse RINO is better, far better, than the best Democrat.
