It's pretty obvious to me Trump is doing this to take the media's heat off of Sessions.
After all, if Trump is criticizing Sessions then Sessions must be a good guy using the media's logic.
So when Sessions goes after the corrupt Dems, the media will be on the record saying Sessions is a good man.

I don't agree. TRUMP isn't scapegoating Sessions. Sessions should have known that when the Democrats started their witch hunt against TRUMP that TRUMP'S offer to not go after the Dems was now off the table.

I guess Trump's blasting the FBI director because he's happy with him and to shield him from the media, too. It all makes sense.
