This picked up steam because of the kids being separated. If that wasn't happening we're still talking about the success of NK, while expediting the deportation process quietly. Instead Rachel Maddow and Laura Bush are instigating all the mothers and families out there.

Literally minutes in they (the Democrat left) fall for it.
Democrats are against keeping families together.

F that.
We should place these family detention centers along the glorious wall. There can be a door in every facility that allows them to leave, at any time they choose. The catch is that door only opens on the Mexican side of the wall.
They don’t have to go home but they can’t stay here.

So why did he wait so long to sign this EO?
He could’ve saved his administration and the GOP the bad optics over the last week had he done this earlier...
This is why:
quote:
(e) The Attorney General shall promptly file a request with the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California to modify the Settlement Agreement in Flores v. Sessions, CV 85-4544 (“Flores settlement”), in a manner that would permit the Secretary, under present resource constraints, to detain alien families together throughout the pendency of criminal proceedings for improper entry or any removal or other immigration proceedings.
Democrats are now on record as opposing this settlement. Their opposition to fixing it will now make them look like hypocrites. This is going to get turned around on them in a big way. They are very publicly against the policy that only allows a 20 day detention of minor children.

LOL...if that's what gets you through the night.
The rest of us know he took a knee.
Major defeat for him.

No it won't. Why do you people keep saying this? ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, HBO, Comedy Central, etc. are all far left propaganda outlets. And that's where most people get their news. They'll lie and spin and do whatever is necessary to please their DNC bosses.
This is true, but Trump played this situation to perfection. He used their "outrage" as a bullhorn. He's been doing it, quite effectively, since before taking office, and he did it again here. Now Sessions will attempt to change the law in court, and Congress will have to vote on fixes, and Democrats will either be for fixing it or for separating families. They said it themselves.

You don't get to spend weeks saying only the democrats can fix this.
Then fix it with a stroke of a pen.
Major defeat for him.

And this shows their true intentions. They truly do not care solely about the kids.

You should read the order. He didn't change anything other than housing them together. The court still has to allow a change to the current law, or Congress has to pass a law.
