That way we don't punish the "worker", and everyone pays taxes the same when they buy goods and services.

Some items would need to be exempt. Milk, diapers, etc.

You don't understand how govt works. Trump can't drop and/or add any taxes at all. It has to go through:

Ryan: "We'll try to work with the President."
McConnell: "No way this passes."
Schumer: "Millions of people will die."

Ya, so the non-workers can still get their crap for free.

Unless there is a better reason for this?

Pretty sure groceries are already exempt from state sales tax in Louisiana

PPl working min wage jobs wouldn't be able to afford $15 gallons of milk and $60 pack of diapers.

I pretty much disagree with everything you say, but this right here:

quote:

Ryan: "We'll try to work with the President."
McConnell: "No way this passes."
Schumer: "Millions of people will die."
Is the fricking truth

Cannot agree more.

Reward hard work, savings, investment, and self reliance. You control your tax bill and can actually see it collected. People will prioritize on needs and decrease run away consumerism. Everyone has skin in the game.

Extremely simple exemptions: food, medicine, medical devices, children's goods, tuition, utilities and housing up to upper middle class average, etc.

Will never happen, liberals will declare it regressive and MSM will demonize all supporters! Such a shame!

Edit: No VAT! All taxes printed on your receipt!

People must know the cost of their government so they can accurately gauge its value.

I like the idea so that people who spend more then they can afford will be bailing their self out next time. It would be great for people that are money smart .
