Vivek understood what 2024 was all about better than anyone. This was always Trump's nomination and anyone else running should have done so with an eye on a cabinet position or VP and setting themselves up for 2028.
I still say Vivek should be chief of staff over VP

But VP is the best insurance against harm to Trump.
