So all candidates should just bow out right now, and allow Trump to run unopposed in an open Primary...in July of 2023?

Trump’s right. DJT will be the nominee. But he will have to destroy Desantis in the process. Look at ol Lyin Ted Cruz and Little Marco Rubio - careers destroyed by Trump. Desantis will be another unfortunate casualty

Trump will be finished after 2024 and you people want him to take town any resistance to the left with him

Let’s see. Trump got probably 90mm votes in 2020, leads almost all polls for 24, is being crucified and targeted by the left doj, GOPe, deep state, lying arse fake news…and we are to believe he’s driving the party off of the cliff. Frick the party! This is MAGA!

They do not care. At all. They only care about Trump.

They do not care in the slightest what damage this does to the future of Conservatism or the Republican Party, because they are neither. They are Trump Party and that's it, and don't think beyond 2024.

I think it’s to late for Desantis to save his career. Trump should someone run now and talk them up for 2028 when he puts the others down to help bring them attention.

It's such a crazy idea. In July 2007 Clinton was beating Obama by 20%+ then ended up losing. Do you know when Obama took his first lead in national polls? February 2008. In July 2007 in Iowa, outside of a single poll showing Obama winning by 1%, Clinton was ahead of him bye 15-20%. Obama didn't start leading until November 2007.

For people to say that no one can beat Trump because polls in the July prior to primaries beginning is absurd.

We’re in a completely different world than we were in 2007-2008.

Both of their careers are in a far better state at the moment than Trump’s.

Two are sitting US Senators and the other is on his way to prison.

Sure, I'm just using that primary as a comparison because it had a clear front runner, Clinton, who everyone thought was a shoo-in end up losing to the upstart.

Trump was around 12% in July '15.

But DeSantis needs to get out.

Honestly, my opinion of that particular situation is that there was a candidate artificially locked in, based precisely on “it’s his turn.” I.e. black man.

I only say that as an aside. General commentary.

Both Trump and Biden lost Iowa.

Like we haven't even begun yet.
