I think we should just make it official at this point and tell Great Britain to go frick itself formally.

I don't know how the average Irishman feels about Trump, but I know he is loved in western Ireland. I've been to his hotel where this tournament was held and everyone there is grateful for the jobs that place gives the locals. They like him a lot there.

If he did I would buy a bottle just to celebrate it. I haven't drank in quite awhile now, but if this was suddenly less than 50 dollars per bottle I would buy some.

I'm sorry this thread isn't about what you want to talk about.

That's not what's killing bourbon.

You can blame everyone and their grandmother getting into to the space and, no pun intended, watering it down.

Also, the space skyrocketed, so it was inevitable that it came back down to earth - just so happens that it's coming down as we're seeing a massive drop in alcohol consumption overall.

Yes, because of the tariffs, nobody is buying USA bourbon.

This was our family business for generations. Still know most of the folks in the business today. In America, historically Louisiana bought bourbon. Biggest consumers outside of the USA are Canada and Japan. Both have tanked to near zero with DJT tariffs.

Who are all drinking less bourbon.

Are the tariffs helping, no…but let’s not say they are the single reason for the decline.

Yeah, because it’s fun to do. We had a great time when we did it.

I still drink bourbon.

I’m not the one saying people are buying less, the industry is.

Not in Canada, been going back and forth there since maybe the 1980's. Some of the nicest folks up there, they will not accept KY bourbon as gifts anymore and they actually had growing markets. Now they go elsewhere for other booze. Not they are drinking less, they are downright boycotting a product from the USA.

I agree. Trump should do nothing until oil prices are down. Even if that means keeping tariffs I never supported to begin with.
