If that was the case "scorched earth" would have happened in 2017. Social media is a fantastic opportunity for any GOP candidate to bypass traditional media and get their message out, but just using it isn't enough. You need to use it wisely. You can afford to be mean as hell to someone like Pelosi; the public understands she's a bitch and she's not a remotely sympathetic figure. But be mean by exposing her weak spots, not just calling her names. Those insults could have been leveled at any woman with a husband.
