Record production, oil price fell about 12% over last couple of months and gasoline prices following suit. What has and could again "destroy" the o&g industry will be overproduction and another price collapse.

I'm fully aware of when gas was well over $6-$7/gallon in California/Hawaii. He was giving a speech in Iowa, where the current average price is $2.82/gallon. That's almost half of what he's mentioned. He was speaking on the CURRENT gas pricing.
In case you have never noticed, when people bitch about high gas prices, they only look to California and see the outrageously high prices, which are always going to be close to $2+ more than the next time zone over. One state's gas pricing is not the measuring stick for the entire country.

Georgia has $4/gallon WITH a statewide gas tax suspension that the GA governor put in place. If it was not for the temporary gas tax suspension, gas would be $5-$6/gallon
