Trump played a game of Second-Level 4-D Intergalactic Chess and no one has noticed

Everyone is talking about what is essentially a flame war that has absolutely no bearing on public policy. No one is talking about the REAL story: Trump effectively ended the asylum seeker crisis at the southern border yesterday.

The above SHOULD have been the top story of the week. But instead, Trump tweeted what he tweeted on Sunday morning and that has been the top story in Washington ever since.

That's what happens when you are up against a party that only cares about two things: remaining in power, and optics.

So, in reality, what does this mean?
Does this mean that everytime an illegal crosses and claims asylum, the feds detain them then they fly them back to their country if origin?
Because that's the only way he can both vacate the detention centers while at the same time mitigating the crossings.
If they know they will just get flown back to where they're from, they won't come in the first place.

Oh give it a day to two. This is going to ratchet up the immigration issue big time. It’s not going anywhere, it’ll be front and center most of the next 15 months.....

It's pretty simple: Look at a map of Central America.
Under the new policy, in order to seek Asylum in the U.S. by entering through the U.S./Mexico border:
-A Mexican can apply at the border
-A Guatemalan or Belizan has to show proof of applying for asylum in Mexico first
-An El Salvadoran or Honduran has to show proof of applying in Guatemala first, then Mexico before applying in the U.S.
Basically, if you caravan from Panama to the southern border, you have to show proof that you applied for Asylum in every country you crossed into on your way before applying at the U.S. border

Because if you replace a three rail wooden fence with a 20 foot steel barrier.....its replacement not new wall construction.
