Absolutely. No one attacked you. You were the biggest a-hole in the thread until I showed up. Don't have a fricking meltdown about it.

LOL.. ok.. I'll make sure I don't meltdown. Thanks for the concern.

You don't have to be a chef to know when a steak is burnt. You don't have to be a gun expert to have an opinion on guns.

And if we do enough of these, maybe we will feel good.

At least you're honest enough to admit that this is the only thing you're after.

Hard ball negotiating in the wake of a school shooting isn’t a good look. Throw some concessions out there and say he was on board. We know it doesn’t really change anything but it does defuse the demand for more serious concessions.

It’s political. Give on a couple of these things to say he did something.

Been saying this on here for several days. Most don't want to hear it, but it's good optics and good politics to give up something without actually giving up anything substantial.

Bump stocks are worth it if it keeps congress in GOP control.

What a stupid point. I can explain why, but you should be able to figure that out without me.

No one is talking about your opinion. We're talking about your incorrect assertions.

Maybe I got in the weeds a bit.

Has a bump stock been used in any other mass shooting besides Las Vegas? I've never used one but after watching videos it seems like they would be inaccurate as hell. No point to my question, just curious.

We need to regulate high capacity bracelets. It's common sense. Paracord didn't exist in 1776 and it wan't what the racist, misogynistic founding "fathers" had in mind when they wrote the constitution meant for straight white men

Lol, win the internet today.

Yeah, that's why I said to wait. A week or two should be enough for the fake concern to settle.

This trend of executive orders needs to stop- on both ends of the spectrum. Very very slippery slope

Agreed. This is Trump creating law and it's not in his constitutional powers to do so.

So, if these devices are banned WTF does that mean exactly?

The big issue with me is how they are banned. The bill introduced last year was absolutely terrible.

No where did it mention bump stocks. The bill stated that it was illegal to modify a firearm in anyway that would increase its rate of fire.

What is the rate of fire of a semi-auto firearm? What about people that can just shoot guns faster than other (i.e. Jerry Miculek or his daughter). If I let my firearm get dirty and I apply lubricant that would increase speed at which the bolt moves. Does that increase the "rate of fire".

All this said I still don't support a ban of bump stocks.

I've never fired a semi rifle but I'm under the impression you can fire it fast without the bump stock just by holding it a certain way and keeping your trigger finger tensed. That so?

With a battery powered motor, some metal, and a little thought, you could build a trigger attachment to go as fast as full auto without altering the gun. Pointless move.

Pointless. Ban the assault weapon and then it's a moot point.

Irony is lost on conservatives. You idiots jump to extremes and immediately scream "they're coming for our guns" every time someone mentions gun control. Talk about emotion. Other than that, you have no emotions because you don't give a shite children are slaughtered in schools. You won't care when it happens again, not enough to do anything about it.

News flash fricktard, if the gun control already in place had been followed correctly, this would have never happened.
