I said every death was a tragedy. I stand by that statement. I blame China for this 100 percent. They totally lied and used their pull at the WHO to cover up the pandemic to the world.
But compared to the destruction we see around the world from this, yeah, I will stand by that statement. We will have a vaccine out shortly. That will limit the deaths in this country to people who don't want the vaccine. Worst case scenario is 300,000 deaths, with the average age of death being what? 79?
So if I told people even in the 80s that we were going to shut down the world and cost the world trillions of dollars to prevent 1 in 1000 people dying with the average age being 79, what would they say?
I am sorry your family had to go through that. But what in the hell are you complaining about? No one in your family died. Lots of other families can't say that.
Was it worth the destruction of the economies of the world? Was it worth the deaths from delayed treatments from a multitude of health maladies? Was it worth the suicides that were caused by the psychological trauma of the lockdowns?
When the treatement is worse than the disease, the disease is not at bad as the treatment.
I stand by my statement.

If you would actually read the thread, I’m not blaming anyone for her sickness. All I’m saying is that the virus is a big deal for SOME people. And you should sho empathy for that. Or don’t. I agree with your whole post. But for that 1/1000 people that die, it sucks. That’s all I’m saying. It was unnecessary (thanks China) and for some people that got sick, it was much worse than the flu or pneumonia.

And it is worse than the flu. It is more deadly and it is more contagious.

Well many came out against more serious action.
So either they knew and were trying to undermine appropriate action or they didn’t know and were recklessly undermining appropriate action.
Trump will destroy Biden on this stupid shite in a debate.
The question to Biden should be how did your suggestions/recommendations align with the seriousness of the virus? If he claims he didn’t know as much as the President then he should be asked why did you inject yourself recklessly into things you are ignorant on?
