When Government turns back on, they better snatch that money right back from the original SNAP budget. Should charge a low interest rate on it just because.

It's also a consumption tax. You spend more, you pay more. I don't get that option with income taxes. I literally get punished for working more or by just being successful.
Plus, you pay the same tariff regardless of your income. No more is half the country not contributing. You can't get more in EIC than you paid in taxes.
If all tariffs are paid by the importers, it removes the need for individual tax returns and much of the IRS. That's smaller government.
Tariffs are simply a better system. Our Founders used tariffs. Our current leaders want more of your income. Which group is more likely to have the nation's best interest at heart?

Not unless you don't plan to buy anything that is shipped or sold out of a rented structure, unless you plan to not live in a dwelling that is mortgaged or rented, unless you plan on dropping your health insurance coverage, etc., etc., etc.

Tariffs were but in place after these were built though.
