I never thought I'd see this day.

Trump beginning to pull out of the middle east, securing our border, and directing our attention at the economic and trade policies in China is unbelievable.

It's so easy to get lost in all of the noise and distractions of the 24 hr MSM propaganda machine. This has been one hell of a fricking week.

As I have been saying for the past two years, this is no longer democrats VS republicans, it's Americans VS establishment career politicians. I hope more people can see that. I hope some of us can come to an understanding.

Trump is enacting some classic liberal platforms and some classic conservative platforms at the same time.

I hope many of us can see past the identity politics distraction and unite against the ruling party in DC.

Let's put our small differences aside and root out the corruption and power hungry monsters in DC. Then we can go back to being slightly left and slightly right of center.

America has been for a long time moderates arguing over which side of the center to be on. The last few years we have been getting more dangerously polar and extreme. It's time for a correction back to the middle.

Trump is the perfect mix of JFK, Andrew Jackson, Reagan, and a case could be made for throwing Coolidge into the mix as well.

I will feed you once, Troll.

Do you not find it sad that people like Bill Maher were begging for an economic collapse if it made Trump look bad?

Media personalities who railed for years against Bush for being in the middle east are now openly calling for more war in the Middle East?

A party that for years claimed to be for the middle class and the blue collar workers of this country, is now siding with China and illegal immigrants over American workers?

How about the DNC openly supporting Saudia Arabia and North Korea over America?

How about the RNC refusing to enact its own platform just to stick it to Trump?

How about an endless special council investigation who's only concrete assertion so far is a possible campaign finance violation which was less than 1/10 of Obamas that was never prosecuted?

Can't the intellegent centrist Americans come together and put our smaller issues aside for now and realize Trump is doing a great job. He's more classic liberal than Obama or Clinton and he's more classic conservative than either Bush.

He's a centrist American president doing what is best for the country which involves policies and ideas from both the left and the right.

Take a deep breath, step back from the media narrative, and realize this country is better off the last two years than the previous 16.

When a populist politician HAS no ideological center and picks positions at random based upon a desire to hear cheers at rallies, he will probably select positions from essentially every quadrant of the political plane.

Perhaps some of that isn’t so bad. Principled stupidity doesn’t help anyone out

You could reread that: follows the will of the people

How dare he

I’d rather stay in the Middle East at the behest of politicians who stand to make millions and billions off of war profiteering

I'm not trolling

Every single president of my lifetime has been a better, more respected man than the clown who currently occupies the office

You'll figure it out one day, padawan

With the exception of the jug eared, Chamberlain-esque, muslim sucking filthy retreating COWARD from 2009-2017, Jimmy Carter was the absolute worst disaster to infect the White House in the past 100 years.

If you worship Carter, you are truly fricking stupid.

I agree at the principle level. But the overall lurch to the left - giant leaps during Obama admin - cannot be allowed to stand by creating a "new normal" just to the 'right' of where we are now.

America has become de-facto a hugely more socialist, identity-driven, anti-freedom, culture than can be allowed to stand. This is not a time for normal "compromise' - first we have to reestablish a valid 'normal' that we can have gentlemanly disagreement on which side of that normal we stand.

You left LBJ out of that sentence. LBJ was worse than Carter. Carter was merely incompetent - I do not believe he had an ounce of evil intent in his bones.

On the other hand LBJ knew exactly what was going to happen with his "great society' initiatives - he was the evil genius on malevolent politics. He has been my number one Worst POTUS in history since the 60's.

But - Obama was worse. Obama actively hated AMERICA and sought to bring it down to a shite-hole culture.

It's hard for me today to distinguish between the two for title of Worst POTUS - Obama could not have happened without the shite given us by LBJ. But he took the mantle of America-destroyer to new levels.

LBJ/OBAMA = tied for worst. Carter doesn't even register on their scale of 'bad.'

The wrong combinations unfortunately (E.g. reduce military presence in ME but raise military budget to 0.75T, cut taxes then increase spending, etc)

IMO Trump is a corporatist and when choosing between public welfare and corporate welfare will choose the latter pretty much every time.
