His EO limited beach gatherings to 10 people and deferred to local governments on the issue.

quote:

The Governor is directing parties accessing public beaches in the state of Florida to follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance by limiting their gatherings to no more than 10 persons.

Derp. He never shutdown any beaches. He allowed Broward and Palm to lockdown for 11 days because that is what the local government ordered and requested.

Again, this picture was taken on May 1 2020:

Trump still had numerous Federal facilities, national parks etc lockedown.

Desantis had to SUE THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT to get Cruise Ships reopened for business.

Why. Must. You. Lie.

I wish he wouldn't make comments like this because he was pushing for the "2 week" shutdown to "Lessen the curve".

His assertion is inaccurate and not very truthful in my book. This is also what "politicians" do and he can no longer claim he is an outsider of D.C.

The Trumpfags have bought into postmodernism.

They know the truth doesn’t matter. Only narratives and emotion. It’s why Trump was able to beat the MSM at their own game in 2016. When you need to lie, lie. When you need to create an alternate narrative that ignores context, do it. Hammer it. Yell it. Shout down the opposition. Create talking points that people can recite in a Hannityesque fashion. Keep repeating them.

Narratives win. Not truth.

We’re in a post-truth society.

The biggest eye opening thing to me is how much supposed "right leaning" or Republicans are GASLIGHTING like crazy this election cycle, against a right wing conservative.

I always associate GasLighting with the left. I always thought, well, we are a little better than that.

But this primary cycle has been very eye opening to me. I will never look at "our side" the same again.

It’s intentional. They’ve adopted all the tactics of Rules for Radicals. Because they think power is an end in itself.

They’ve turned into the thing they used to hate.

They have created enemies out of falsehoods.

Just like progressives.

Maybe so, but he damned sure sat on his arse and watched it happen, too dumb to understand it was the death of his presidency

That is not all he did.
15 Days to Slow the Spread
He LED and approved of all of this and gave cover for Dem governors like Edwards to screw us.

Read his speech from 3/16/2020 at the link I posted. It’s revisionist history to absolve Trump for all of this.

I’ll still vote for him if it comes to it, but stop pretending he was good on COVID.

He started the shutdowns, his White House published the bullshite phased reopening plan, and he started the inflation when he supported and signed the CARES Act.

This is why I turned away from Trump and was supporting Cruz in the primary.

When you have a presidential candidate baselessly accusing their opponent’s father of being a part of the JFK assassination and nothing happens to them you know you’ve reached the point of no return.

We have to decide if we want to hear the truth or not as a society. At every junction we’ve chosen to stay in fantasyland though.

That’s why I’ve made it clear.

We’re not on the same team anymore.

I really don't get it. We are not paid political operatives here (well, most of us aren't), paid to spin things and gaslight.

Why can't people just be honest?

They can't because they are in that deep, that deeply devoted to the guy. Its just so strange.

Nor did I mention operation warp speed, otherwise known as when Pfizer and friends used Trumps ego to make themselves billions of dollars while endangering people all over the world.

If people were being honest, they would say the following:

Trump did GREAT on easy things: EO and some Administrative rules.

He did above average on moderately easy things: SpCrt Justices with a R controlled Senate

He did relatively awful on hard things: Legislation, Budget etc

He was abysmal on Covid.

Its a very mixed bag presidency, but they just like the guy because of his personality and the things he says. They connect with him.

But we can't be honest here.

Lots of them (us?) see who he is but still think he’s our only real chance (a very very slim chance) at stopping what’s going on.
