in the coming weeks. The exact date hasn’t been specified, which I’m not harping on him for because that would be unbelievable if it was created, trial tested and administered within a year, but he did mention it would be within a few weeks. Are we believing him at his word here? The reason I ask is because it seems like it does him no favors to promise that sort of thing without definitive evidence we’re within weeks of a vaccine, not to mention getting it to over 100,000,000 plus people in this country. Feels like an attacking point for the Democrats to rally support against him for the perception they’re trying to instill that he’s failed as a leader for his response to Covid. I believe he’s done a pretty damn good job, but just don’t like hearing him repeat that line without anything substantial to show for it.

Never liked trump putting the science community into a corner to push this vaccine .. you can’t hurry this through and rush it like a stimulus package or something

He says a 'couple of weeks,' which is after the election. If he loses election and he's lying, who will care? If he wins the election and he's lying, who will care?

Not saying it doesn't irk me as well, but there is not much downside for him on this one. Keep promising it's coming and applying pressure.

But Democrat-run states like New York and California said their respective governors will not allow a Trump Administrative approved vaccine to be used in their states.

Covid goes away after new year any ways. Even if Biden wins, he can't keep the country shut down

A couple of weeks doesn’t mean that it’s going to be distributed then.

What's ironic is that his supporters, for the most part, don't care about a Covid vaccine. His detractors won't take it, no matter how great it is, due to personal/political reasons.

I wonder if the vaccine will just sit on shelves collecting dust?

Covid19...the political virus.

I believe he said late October was possible.

I think he does this to get the head people to work hard. Trump is use to working at warp speed, they aren't.

We will have tens of millions of doses of vaccine before the end of the year.

I will get it as soon as possible.

If this wasn't so politicized, it would likely already be out. Democrats changed the rules of vaccine safety.

They decided to add an additional month onto this one for no reason other than to prevent is release before the election.

AZN is releasing their vaccine in London next week. It will first be deployed to the elderly in nursing homes, nursing home staff and those at high risk.

Bravo medical science!

This is what I think too. I'm sure he used the same tactic to get a construction project completed. Has nothing to do with the campaign in general. It's just Donald being The Donald. If it helps him get reelected, then that's just gravy.

It's looking like we'll have a vaccine before we have a stimulus.

Did you have a problem with JFK saying we were going to put a man on the moon before decades end in the 60’s? Leading, its what Presidents do!

The vaccines have already been made AND are currently being mass produced. The minute they finish testing for final approval tens of millions of doses which are sitting there TODAY along with many more will be distributed by the military.

People getting all excited for a vaccine is so dumb

So the survival rate will go from 99.997% to 99.998%
