There are party forces that want a vessel who they think will do their bidding (I don’t necessarily like the term GOPe because as evidenced here it can be easily distorted). You basically admit that for a a large number of those forces (I DON’T think they are monolithic) Trump is not that person.

They are looking for someone else. You basically admit that as well.

I’m never not going to be wary of who they are looking for or at. Does that make that person an automatic deal killer to me? Not necessarily. I’m still going to be wary until I’m shown a reason to be otherwise.

Why does my side have to bend? We all knew that Trump was running again the moment Biden got inaugurated. Desantis has been getting prepped for next run after him. IMO he isn't ready for what is needed to be done in 24, as one guy is engulfed in it fighting it daily while another is outside looking in.

Why you think we have to bend to your want or you'll take your ball and go home shows how truly selfish you are. Especially since you'll proudly watch it all burn down, even your own home, so you can get the "I told you so" moment.
