Putin has been ordered to stand down by POTUS Trump and Putin refuses to comply. Take Putin into custody.
If we had a functioning UN, there would already be a Security Council authorization to form a coalition of nations to make war on Russia.
I am sympathetic to Putin and Russia's causes, concerns and interests. Trump told Putin that we will address those concerns in a reasonable manner. Putin chose to ignore that and continue the war. It's time for a coalition of nations to make war on Russia and end Putin's regime.
Putin is clearly not going to stop until Ukraine no longer exists as an independent nation, and, that cannot be allowed by the civilized world.
Saddam invaded Kuwait and the USA responded. Putin is now worthy of getting the Saddam treatment.

Russia doesn't have the manpower for conventional occupying forces. They'd use the FSB and the most cruel tactics imaginable to strike fear into the hearts of the Ukrainians. Unfortunately, we have some here that would cheer them on.

Also sort of another roundabout argument against Russian expansion (they want Ukraine for resources at least as much as any other reason).

No sir. We can’t do that. No US president is going to war with Russia in Ukraine and that’s just the reality of that. It’s actually the very thing that’s making this such a difficult conflict for us to stop. Our military in action has always been our strength, but we can’t put them in action here. It’s too risky and would be too catastrophic.
