Y’all remember this moment. Stout approves of what Trump did as president in 2020

It takes a special kind of hypocrisy or cognitive dissonance to think that way.

ITT "small Government conservatives" are mad that Trump wasn't enough of a dictator in 2020

quote:

Who could’ve fired Fauci?

This has been proven time and time again to be a lie.

Trump would have to prove misconduct to fire Fauci, a career civil servant.

quote:

Who urged governors to stay locked down?

States have rights. Trump couldn't make them stay shut down.

They are selfish as the election isn't just about them. It is also about their friends and family and not everyone may be in the same position to weather 4 more years of Biden.

Also, imagine being OK with letting Dems get 4 more years for which your children will have to suffer more in the future.
Then you advocacy for Trump makes no sense. Trump has already proven in 2020, 2022, 2023 elections he has NO appeal in swing states he will need to beat Biden.”Next time will be different” is a hope. And hope isn’t a strategy.
quote:

Again, it is selfish no matter how you spin it.
No. Pushing the guy with multiple demonstrated failures to win in swing states is true selfishness.

That doesn’t answer the real question. Could he have removed him from the Coronavirus task force?

Why didn't those states activate the National Guard during the riots? Why didn't the FBI swoop in? Because it was all planned and they were all in on it.

How would Trump stopping the CDC from issuing disastrous guidelines have been dictatorial?

You’re insane

Only an idiot like you would come to that summation

Do I wish he would have handled a lot of Covid differently? Of course. I have said so numerous times already.

Do I punish Trump's whole presidency and ignore all of his other accomplishments because of that? No because I am not disingenuous like many of you.

I understand that he was in uncharted waters. It's easy to Monday morning quarterback it like all of you do, though.

I did. Twice. And I was left disappointed at every step of the way. I didn’t approve of what Trump did in 2020 and still voted for him.

Now I’m here in 2023 with the same principles I had in 2015 when I was an OG Trump supporter, turned Cruz supporter, back to Trump, then now supporting DeSantis.

Trump is always the powerless victim. Yet… somehow he’s the only one that can save us. The dissonance is amazing to watch.

Trump did bar him from both Task Force appearances as well as from further White House access. Now will come the expected effort to somehow, some way spin up an argument that he didn’t do it at the moment he should have, according to our resident experts on the subject.

The Executive Branch performing it's duty and stating "I won't sign that, send me something reasonable" isn't "being a dictator"
