They charge for their services.

Do you think the USPS is well run and highly efficient?

That's like saying the military is losing money. It's a service with benefits. Why would you expect the USPS to make money?

Expecting them to charge enough to break even is too much to ask for you it appears.

Not at all. USPS can strive to break even but its not applicable to compare it to Fed Ex.

USPS is self-funded

That’s such bullshite. They may be set up to be self-funded, but they can’t make it without massive bailouts from the taxpayers every year.

Not all of them. As a matter of fact if you have a loved one die as a veteran they will give you a flag for burial for free on site if you provide a DD214.

Ok. I was pointing out how USPS is different from the military as that other wacko stated they were in the same boat.

Maybe they can stop subsidizing all the junk mail which fills up my mailbox, then fills up my recycle bin.

I said nothing about FedEx or a budget. What’s your complaint if you don’t think the postal service is well run?

Charge Amazon more and fire 90% of their management. Boom. They'll be profitable.

That “line of credit” with the Treasury mentioned in these articles never gets repaid. It’s not really ever intended to be repaid, and I’m sure the Treasury is not going out to the box every afternoon expecting a check.

He did that last time too, and installed the present incompetent leadership.

Is he trying to improve it or drive it down farther?

Great strategy considering Trump installed Louis DeJoy to dismantle USPS. Step 1: appoint a clown to run a department/agency into the ground.

“Run it into the ground”?

When’s the last time it was a success?
