So we trust Jack Smith?

I'm not even sure that the declassification status is the most important thing for these charges because it's based around documents relating to national security.
The charges are based on national security, USC 793. But the basis of the charges involve classified documents. At least that is my understanding.
Then there are the obstruction of justice charges too.

No, just telling you the legal standard. It wouldn’t surprise me, however, if Trump is quieter when the issue revolves around criminal allegations.
Wait….you think this is Trumps first criminal allegation?

Second indictment.

But that isn’t what you said.
And even so….he didn’t hold back speaking publicly about his first indictment.

If anybody gets him, it's because he's let himself be gotten. Not strong opsec here.

Did you read the indictment?
Only parts. I'll have to read the entire document later. I stopped right before the obstruction part.
I admit, the parts I read (red), read (reed) pretty damning. But it is the prosecution's side of the story.

The dialogue with the staffer on Battle plans trying to show Trump means rea is very weak sauce by Jack-arse.
Trump is no expert on PRA is one easy way around this. Simply claim he didn’t realize by having the docs in his possession it means they are unclassified
Or
He can simply say he was trying to impress this staffer and say in reality in his mind and by having it in his possession and that he knew it was unclassified.
I mean trump has never exaggerated and tried to impress anyone before …lol
In fact my 2nd example is exactly what trump defense will be most likely.
Just bullsh!tting some young staffer
Good luck with Bidens goon DAs in reading trumps mind.

But Tom Fitton doesn't have a JD.

It's likely going to end up being national security docs, like the alleged war plan that is still missing. Not strictly classified docs.
The media is running with "classified" cause they don't know what else to say and it's already a phrase in the ether.

So it still doesn’t raise a question to you that THIS is the time he’s chosen to remain silent?

Gumbo, start reading The Defendants Concealment of Boxes starting on page 21. They'll have to show their evidence during the trial. You simply cannot bring these types of charges on a whim to get someone. But we do live in Clown World so maybe there is hope for MAGA. I just have my doubts right now.

This may actually work.

It sounds like they’re running with Trumps very own words about the docs still being classified.

Lol you Ronbots celebrating this bs is so pathetic. Glad you’re all outing yourselves tho

I think you're right that the puffery defense is the way to go and there's lots of plausibility from his background that could be compelling to jurors.

I, too, enjoy making up incredibly unfounded bullshite narratives to make myself feel better.

This is why we call you cultists. “Everyone is out to get me”

But at the same time, I don’t think “jury, my client is an idiot” is a smart strategy long-term.
