If Trump doesn't run, that means the left's indescribably unethical tactics to get rid of him were effective. That is a precedent that will be hard to return from. The left needs to pay for their sins and they need to pay dearly by absolute political humiliation. Furthermore a pissed off Trump with no elections left to win could clean out a lot of the DNC operatives in the government. Even if DeSantis could be a more effective leader (I think he could), I think allowing the left to win this six year battle is the ultimate bending over a taking it up the tail pipe. Especially if they use trumped up criminal charges or election fraud instead of beating him in a free and fair election.
