Corona probably killed any chance he had although he was probably still going to lose anyway.
If I'm Tubby, I would want the primary contest to be held tomorrow while momentum is strong. Allowing Sessions to linger around is something I would not be comfortable with.
Prolonging it all the way to July gives Sessions a chance to run a hyperlocal regional campaign where he can focus on everywhere from Dothan to Mobile of his record as a Senator and call in favors from local politicians and conservative groups that can develop a ground game for him.
And that would not have been possible in the usual month between the first round and the runoff.

Stuff like this should blow up here...

President Donald Trump’s deputies announced Friday that they had begun the process of importing 85,000 H-1B gig workers to take white-collar jobs that will be needed after October by the millions of American graduates who are now losing jobs in the coronavirus crash.
Not here though.
Thankfully some actual MAGA people stood up to the President and got this paused. It's too bad Tuberville has already indicated that he's behind Trump no matter what. He's going to Washington to follow.

does that Trump interview have to do with defending Sessions? W/O Sessions recusal, honest Bob would have never happened.
If you don't recognize that interview then how can you possibly think that you're educated on the topic?

do you still defend Amash like you do the elfin?
No.
I have probably no more than 10 posts in the last few years concerning Amash.

Trump literally said that he fired Comey because of Russia.
Russia.
In the most ham fisted way possible with no nuanced explanation after that. That was the straw that broke the camel's back and forced Rosenstein to appoint Mueller.
Furthermore, Trump's staff said the interview was a bad idea that was only asking for trouble and they were correct. Trump ignored them and walked right into that disaster and got the Mueller witch hunt out of as a dumb prize.

That scheme was pushed through by H1B1 lobbyist Chad Wolf who owes his appointment as DHS Secretary to Stephen Miller.
You should read this piece on how Miller is not who he is as advertised. LINK
He may be an immigration hawk but he's outright hostile to other immigration hawks in the admin, seeks to get them fired and is responsible for the H1B1 lobbyist being appointed DHS secretary.
Talk about putting the fox in the henhouse.
It's a good example as to why I don't care about Trump's feud with Sessions.

This doesn't line up with the subject. Why can't Jeffrey say he is Trump biggest supporter?

I’m with Sentrius on this - Sessions is a border hawk and Tubs will likely be a CoC cuck.
And why won’t Trump go after Loeffler and Burr this way?

It's no accident as to why unions for ICE and CBP have endorsed him. Sessions is the same guy who blew up the Gang of 8 amnesty bill in 2013 and the McCain-Kennedy amnesty bill in 2007. They trust him. LINK
Sessions been a consistent immigration hawk and has never wavered from that and would be a big help to the immigration agenda Trump ran on in 2016.
Meanwhile Tubby has made numerous statements towards support of amnesty that look like they came out of a CoC big business luncheon.

My guess is that Electoral considerations come into play on top of having not enough personal feelings towards them.
Burr is retiring and is not running for reelection in 2022. He already announced that before the stock sell off story broke. So it makes sense to not bother wasting any energy and political capital on him. He's a lame duck that needs to be memory holed, kept quiet and his fate will be left to the FBI, SEC and Senate Ethics committee to determine if he's allowed to finish his term.
As for Loeffler, Georgia is a state where it's getting harder and harder to win where Trump won by no more than 5 points and Kemp barely squeaked by the fat black socialist who professed out loud that she wanted illegal voters.
Trump after all offered Collins the DNI job to clear the way for Loeffler and that spoke volumes as to his feelings on the race although that's up in the air now with stock sell off story out there now.

If Trump wants to blame someone who had the most to do with the Mueller witch hunt happening, he needs to look no further than this picture that showcases a gigantic disaster that no one forced him to do.
So you're saying you and your Poli-Daddy are anti-Trump now?
That'll go over as well as a SBD fart in a church pew.

I'm still voting for Trump in November because policy is personnel and the only thing democrats have to offer me are open border communists and their presidential nominee is a puppet of the open border lobby.
However that does not mean I'm a sycophant for Trump and endorse everything he does and support whatever he candidate he supports.
When he makes a bad call, like supporting someone that I know is a fraud, I'll say it out loud and really don't care how mad some people get.
