There is an active and serious Ebola outbreak ongoing. On May 15, 2026, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) officially declared its 17th Ebola outbreak after cases of the Bundibugyo virus were confirmed in Ituri Province. The situation is being monitored internationally, and global health agencies are on high alert due to the potential for transmission in the DRC and neighboring Uganda.
quote:
Public Health Order (Ebola): The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) invoked a 30-day Title 42 emergency public health order to pause visa issuance and block entry for any foreign travelers who have been in Congo, Uganda, or South Sudan within the last 21 days.
declaring a global health emergency over an Ebola outbreak. This restriction does not apply to U.S. citizens or service members, who must instead route their travel through Washington Dulles International Airport for enhanced screening.
Visa Revocations (South Sudan): In a separate diplomatic action, Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced the revocation of visas held by South Sudanese passport holders. The State Department stated this action was taken because the South Sudanese transitional government failed to timely accept the return and deportation of its repatriated citizens.

Infecting the United States with a deadly disease is a basic human right. You can’t deny someone their basic human rights just because they come from Africa. That is so backwards.

The clock is now ticking for some leftist judge to put an injunction on this.

The guy who cures cancer isn't coming from Uganda, the Congo, or South Sudan. We don't have to worry about any missed opportunities.
