He will either try and get TRUMP on obstruction or another fake charge (taking as long as possible Ken the process) or TRUMP removes him. There is no other possible outcome for this partisan witch hunt.

Trump can fire whomever He wants, and state the reason why. Obstruction - in this scenario - would be a SUBJECTIVE judgment. Impeachment would be a political act, not criminal. Given what we now know...no way Impeachment flies.
Trump don't have to fire Meuller. All Trump has to do is accuse Meuller of a "witch hunt"...and wait patiently for the OIG Report (which will confirm that accusation) to drip out.

Mueller is and has already fired himself owing to corruption
There's so much more coming out soon in drip drip drip fashion(next release is next week possibly even!) that the Trump investigation will organically collapse due to a coming investigation of the investigators that will prove the corruption of most all investigators
It's going to be a beautiful thing to see and so gratifying
