False.

They just didn't have their own voting bloc.

But women pretty much single-handedly got the 18th amendment passed, which was passed just after they got the vote but before they had a chance to vote for anybody. And I might point out that getting a Constitutional Amendment passed is much more difficult than just electing a preferred candidate.

Women have always had influence and "power" in American politics. They just haven't always had a direct vote.

You are full of shite. There is no "far right" to compare to the many women who support the killing of children.

Okay, well then rabbits and goats had power too. Clearly you are wrong in this, and you are stretching definitions to salvage a point.

Not buying that. I grew up in a small town. Lots of women in high-school were conservative. When they went off to college, most LSU, they came back raging liberals. Indoctrination at its finest. There are even men that left for LSU conservative and came back very liberal....beta men, but still men.

Not talking about every woman from every small town but if you research it the only reason they gave them the right to vote was bc the liberals knew they would always lean left

Clearly YOU are wrong in this, and you are attempting a fallacious appeal to ridicule to obfuscate it. What I posted was a fact.

Here's what Google said:

quote:

Women played a massive role in influencing the passage of the 18th Amendment through campaigning for the temperance movement, but they could not directly vote to pass it because most did not have national voting rights yet

Which is exactly what I said. They had influence and power, but not the vote. You don't have to have a vote to have influence and power, and the passage of the 18th proves it.

Dispute it if you can, but don't resort to blatant misogyny equating women to goats and rabbits.

EDIT: Not to mention, your original post was wrong on another count. The "heyday" of Marxism was the mid 20th century, when Russia became the U.S.S.R. and started exporting communism to Cuba and other places, and China became communist.

Women could vote by then. Goats and rabbits still can't.

For the most part, you just have to be married to and have kids with a voter.

Married couples mirror each other in voting...usually.

Okay. I see the problem. You and I are arguing different points. You are arguing about the effect of women on American politics, especially the 19th amendment. I am arguing the proposition as stated in the thread title.

Like a lot of internet disagreements it started with a misunderstanding.

Perhaps the craziest thing of all is that, if only white people voted, Illinois would be red. Tells you a lot about Chicago

If you think 4Cubbies, who is a moderate libertarian, if you ever paid attention to what she says about who she votes for and what she believes, is extreme left....you may be an extreme right-winger.

If you feel SFP and Mo Jeaux are in any way left-wing, you may be an extreme right-winger.

Or you just may be stupid.

There is no third choice.
